Born in New York, James studied fine arts and philosophy there until drawn to Arizona by the
spacious nature of the desert environment. James has received teachings from ZaChoeje
Rinpoche, spiritual director of Emaho Foundation and His Holiness 14th Dalai Lama in
Dharamsala, India. He recently attended pilgrimage to Buddhist holy places in India. James
serves on the Board of Directors of Emaho Foundation.

KARMA THEGSUM CHOLING  (SUN)
Karma Thegsum Choling, Arizona, is a dharma-center under the auspices of Karma Triyana
Dharmachakra, north American seat of His Holiness, Karmapa Orgyen Trinley Dorje.
His Holiness, now 22 years old, is destined to play an important leadership role in
Tibetan Buddhism, alongside His Holiness the Dalai Lama. KTC Arizona was established in

Trisha is an attorney in Phoenix, Arizona.  Prior to practicing law, she received a degree in
biology from UC Davis.  In her free time she enjoys camping, golf, hiking and travel.  Recent
adventures have taken her to Egypt, the Hopi mesas and India.  In India this spring she had
the opportunity to meet and study with His Holiness the 17th Karmapa, the head of the Kagyu
lineage in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.  In addition to serving on the board of directors at
Karma Thegsum Choling, Arizona, she lends her wisdom and wit to help present various
KTC seminar topics throughout the year such as The Life of Naropa, Spirituality and
Quantum Physics, and Neuroplasticity and Meditation.
